Abstract
An investigation has been carried out to find out the heat flow variat ion into the structure due to moisture content in the material for hom ogeneous and composite sections. A simple combined heat and mass trans fer equation has been used which is further reduced to a heat flow equ ation with weighted thermophysical properties assuming uniform distrib ution in the material. Influence of moisture on various thermal respon se factors has been elaborated and compared with dry samples used in t he building section.
