Abstract
Simple migraine attacks are usually controlled by rest and on analgesi c (acetylsalicylic acid or paracetamol), eventually associated with me toclopramide. More severe cases with failure of these measures may ben efit from antimigraine medications such as ergotamine derivatives. Pre ventive treatment is only indicated in case of frequent (greater than or equal to 3 per month) and complicated attacks.
