For determination of the hydrogen content in metallic samples the grav
imetric method is generally used, but the large change of the electric
al resistivity observed on H-absorption can also be used. The latter m
ethod is very effective if the time dependence of the process is impor
tant. The resistivity change of the sample can easily be used for moni
toring the H-absorption in a gas atmosphere and with some caution for
the determination of the H content in galvanic doping as well. Results
are presented for the Zr33N67 amorphous alloy with both methods of H
