POWDER-METALLURGY IN SWEDEN

In spite of the fact that Sweden is a small country with about 8 milli on inhabitants if has a remarkably strong position in the powder metal lurgy (P/M) field. The Swedish P/M industry has a leading position wor ldwide in terms of ferrous powders, inert gas atomized high-alloy powd ers, full-density P/M processing of steels, cemented carbides, hot iso static pressing- and cold isostatic pressing-equipment. The Swedish P/ M industry is profiled as well as on-going P/M research at technical u niversities and research institutes.
