M. Bugajski et al., LINING THE TOP OF A CYCLONE WITH FREE-FLOWING CASTABLE REFRACTORY IN THE GMUNDEN CEMENT WORKS, ZKG INTERNATIONAL, 49(11), 1996, pp. 623-627
The two tops of the lowest cyclone stage in the raw meal preheater in
the Gmunden cement works of Hans Hatschek AG in Austria were lined wit
h a free-flowing castable refractory in February 1996. The reason, for
this unconventional type of lining was the restricted access to the c
yclone tops. Alkali attack was to be expected so a low-cement Al2O3 ca
stable with added SEC was used, and a total of 26 tonnes of COMPAC FLO
(R) free-flowing castable were placed. The refractory lining teas foun
d to be in. very good condition during an, interim inspection after 7
months.
