Abstract
The paper presents the results of a treatment with K-3[Fe(CN)(6)] on f urfural lignocellulose. Reactions have been carried out in alkaline me dium at 50 degrees for various reaction times. The obtained products h ave been characterized by spectroscopy, thermooxidative behavior, lign in and cellulose and methoxyl groups contents. The high percent of nit rogen and ash shows that, during treatments, a complexation reaction t akes place between lignocellulose and potassium ferricyanide.
