B. Cesek et M. Milichovsky, RELEASING OF SOLUBLE AND COLLOIDAL SUBSTANCES IN PULP SLURRIES, Cellulose Chemistry and Technology, 30(3-4), 1996, pp. 297-306
A lot of soluble and colloidal substances of pulp are extracted by wat
er. A common behaviour of all these substances was searched by the met
hod of COD, BOD5, polyelectrolyte titration and hydration factor's mea
surement. Observed results have confirmed the influence of water envir
onment upon the character of extraction process. Different results, ex
cept groundwood, were observed for pulp extraction by distilled and re
circulation water. Generally, under comparable conditions, a higher am
ount of substances is released from pulp in recirculated than in disti
lled water.
