Abstract
The present paper deals with the design and development of an advanced HSLA alloy with appropriate combinations of strength, toughness and w eldability properties, suitable for critical naval applications. Four types of steels alloyed with Cr, Mo and Ni and containing, Ti and Nh, singly or in combination, were investigated. The sleets were thermomec hanically processed and a systematic analysis was made on the influenc e of reheating temperature and finish rolling temperature on the mecha nical properties.
