Abstract
A typical installation which contains 50,000 significant items of equi pment would traditionally be supported by over 250,000 spare parts and 500,000 key documents. Documents and associated data, such as P&IDs, loop sheets, data sheets and spare parts listings, are being supplied in many forms ranging from integrated CAD packages to simple paper sol utions. How therefore, do you organize this information, eliminate dup lication and ensure end users are able to retrieve native form informa tion without the need to know document numbers?
