St. Gibson et Br. Lewis, UNDERSTANDING DIATOMIC PHOTODISSOCIATION WITH A COUPLED-CHANNEL SCHRODINGER-EQUATION MODEL, Journal of electron spectroscopy and related phenomena, 80, 1996, pp. 9-12
A coupled-channel Schrodinger equation model has been used to interpre
t the results of an experimental decomposition of the photoabsorption
spectrum of O-2, covering the wavelength range from 1150 Angstrom to 1
750 Angstrom. The model demonstrates that the main features of the spe
ctrum, including many irregularities, arise from Rydberg-valence inter
actions.
