Abstract
The procedures used in the treatment of peripheral arterial disease ar e evolving constantly. The most rapid changes have been in the use of endovascular techniques in which the interventions are occurring from within the blood vessel either in the radiology suite percutaneously o r in the operating theatre by open access. The following article attem pts to bring together these two disciplines and to address them with a unified approach.
