Abstract
The genus Densospora, based on Glomus tubaeforme, and three new specie s, D. nuda, D. nanospora, D. solicarpa, are described. Densospora is c haracterised by the presence of small sporocarpic blastospores with si ngle laminate walls that infrequently thicken, filling the lumen of th e spore. In culture, G. tubaeforme has swellings on hyphae. The fungi may form ectomycorrhizae.
