LOGOTHERAPY AS TRAUMA THERAPY

In a Logotherapy approach to the treatment of the traumatized client, it is recognized that the client's experience of trauma can be reframe d to identify real meanings and meaning potentials to be honored and a ctualized during the client's daily life. In this article, the author presents a five-stage Logotherapy trauma treatment approach based upon the existential concepts of Viktor Frankl that has been helpful with many traumatized clients. A number of case presentations illustrate th e described treatment approach.
