Abstract
The bioavailability of trace elements from aerial sources through the leaves may have a significant impact on plant contamination. A method is described for the determination of cadmium, manganese, copper, lead , and nickel in leaves. Low levels of these metals in samples collecte d in the NW of Spain are determined by simple digestion in 60% nitric acid followed by Atomic Absorption Spectrometry (AAS).
