Af. Selevich et al., SYNTHESIS IN THE MELT AND CHARACTERIZATION OF CONDENSED BINARY PHOSPHATES BANH4(PO3)(3), BINH4P4O12 AND TI(NH4)(2)P4O13, Journal of solid state chemistry, 125(1), 1996, pp. 43-46
Barium-ammonium polyphosphate (BaNH4(PO3)(3)), bismuth-ammmonium cyclo
tetraphosphate (BiNH4P4O12), and titanium-ammonium tetraphosphate (Ti(
NH4)(2)P4O13) have been synthesized in the melt of ammonium polyphosph
ate (NH4PO3). The prepared phosphates were characterized by chemical a
nalysis, thin layer chromatography, and X-ray diffraction of powders.
BiNH4P4O12 was found to crystallize in the cubic system, space group <
I(4)over bar 3d> with the unit-cell parameter a = 15.105(2) Angstrom.
Thermal decomposition behavior of the phosphates was studied by thermo
gravimetry and crystalline products of degradation were identified. (C
