Abstract
The first part of this three-part report explains the objectives of th e task force and the scope of its report [1]. The first Dart also prov ides modelling guidelines for the investigation of small-signal torsio nal oscillations, large-signal shaft transient stresses, turbine-blade vibrations, and first bus transfer based on the use of digital comput er time-domain simulation methods. This paper provides modelling guide line for the analysis of controller interactions, harmonic interaction s, and resonance phenomena. Sample test systems anti typical time-doma in simulation results for each phenomenon are also provided.
