Results of studies on the composition of supported nickel catalysts fo
r steam reforming of hydrocarbons aimed at the optimization of contact
s properties are presented. Catalysts produced from technical grade ra
w materials (Ni, MgO, Al2O3) are characterized by high activity and no
ticeable resistance to coking, if their composition is the following:
similar to 15 wt.% of Ni, similar to 40 wt.% of MgO and they have been
reduced without the step of high temperature calcination in air.
