Abstract
Centennial of the Becquerel's discovery of radioaktivity is recalled a s the beginning of Atomic Age. A short biography of H. A. Becquerel is outlined and his followers are mentioned, namely M. Sklodowski-Curie and sveral Czech Scientists.
