Cc. Hang et Ls. Cao, IMPROVEMENT OF TRANSIENT-RESPONSE BY MEANS OF VARIABLE SET-POINT WEIGHTING, IEEE transactions on industrial electronics, 43(4), 1996, pp. 477-484
A new approach is introduced for speeding up the transient set point r
esponse of a control system by adapting the set point weighting factor
in the controller. For a proportional-integral-derivative (PLD) contr
oller, the initial set point weighting factor, the instants at which t
his factor should be varied, and the adapted value of the set point we
ighting factor are all given by a set of correlation formulae which ca
n be used in conjunction with the refined Ziegler-Nichols tuning formu
la, Analysis has also led to an equivalent block diagram more suitable
for its implementation as a set point filter with a variable zero in
its transfer function.
