Abstract
Protoplasts were prepared from mycelium of Aspergillus niger N-402. Su crose was used to induce the synthesis and secretion of invertase. Pro toplasts secreted 2 forms of invertase, different to those secreted by the mycelium. C-14 mannose was shown to be taken up by protoplasts an d incorporated into secreted proteins.
