M. Versavel et al., STANDARD OPERATION PROCEDURE FOR THE REGI STRATION AND COMPUTER-SUPPORTED EVALUATION OF PHARMACO EEG DATA, EEG-EMG, 27(2), 1996, pp. 55-58
The working team ''EEG in Phase I'' of the Collegium Internationale Ps
ychiatriae Scalarum presents a standard operating procedure (SOP) for
the registration and computer-supported evaluation of pharmaco-EEG dat
a, which is based on published guidelines. The minimum standard for re
cording, amplifying and filtering, validation of hardware and software
, artifact treatment and Fast-Fourier-Analysisis described in a tabula
ted form. The SOP can be basis for the working out of laboratory-speci
fic SOPs, which are required by the Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Guide
lines for the performance of clinical studies. Compliance with the SOP
guarantees the possibility of citation by IPEG (International Pharmac
o EEG-Group), AMDP (Arbeitsgemeinschaft Mr Methodik und Dokumentation
in der Psychiatrie) and CIPS (Collegium Internationale Psychiatriae Sc
alarum). Furthermore, an optimal standard is recommended, which functi
ons as a guideline.
