Abstract
A patient with an unusual case of internal hernia was treated successf ully with surgery for strangulated transomental hernia, diagnosed preo peratively by abdominal computed tomographic examination (CT). The her niation occurred through congenital defects in the gastrocolic omentum , Herniation of this nature is extremely rare, and abdominal CT examin ation is very useful for preoperative diagnosis.
