ENVIRONMENTAL-CONTROL TECHNOLOGIES - THE CONTRIBUTION OF THE 5TH ECSCRESEARCH-PROGRAM 1984-1994

This paper aims at showing by some practical applications how the Fift h ECSC Social Research Programme entitled ''Technical control of nuisa nces and pollution at workplaces and the environment of iron and steel industry'' has contributed during this last decade to the promotion o f a ''cleaner'' steel industry in the European Union. The fields of wa ter, air, workplaces, noise and waste control as well as co-product va lorization technologies are successively covered.
