Abstract
Transmetallation of an alpha-lithio-beta,beta-difluoroenol carbamate w ith a CuX(3)Li(2) (2LiC.Cul) produced a vinylcopper reagent that was t hermally stable and reacted with activated haloalkanes and acid chlori des in moderate to high yield extending considerably the scope of buil ding block chemistry available from trifluoroethanol.
