Abstract
An ophthalmic surgical drape with an ancillary breathing outlet is des cribed and illustrated. It is believed that this drape will supply a n eeded emergency feature in current ophthalmic surgical drapes that wil l contribute to greater safety among elderly patients and give greater assurance to the surgeon who may experience a sudden interruption in surgery caused by an unexpected respiratory problem.
