A. Quesadachanto et al., ANTIMICROBIAL ACTIVITY OF BACILLUS UCR-236 AND ITS POTENTIAL USE AS BIOLOGICAL-CONTROL, Arquivos de biologia e tecnologia, 39(3), 1996, pp. 613-621
The strain Bacillus UCR-236 produces a substance with activity against
some mycelial fungi but no activity against yeast and bacteria. It is
possible to reduce the infection rate of Mycena citricolor (American
leaf spot disease agent) on the coffee leaf surface in a moisture cham
ber test, using Bacillus UCR-236 culture. A possible action pattern of
the substance was suggested.
