Abstract
Structural analysis of the root of Musa rosacea Jacq. (Musaceae) was m ade. Was detected that the root has protoxylem and protophloem, metaxy lem and metaphloem, and late metaxylem and late metaphoem. Vessel elem ents are short, with simple perforation plates. The endodermis, at the beginning, has casparian strips, and, later on, U thickenning, in old er areas.
