Em. Belavtseva et al., INVESTIGATION OF STRUCTURES OF MICELLES OF A FULLERENE DERIVATIVE OF ALANINE IN AQUEOUS-SOLUTIONS BY TUNNELING SCANNING MICROSCOPY, Russian chemical bulletin, 45(4), 1996, pp. 831-833
Structures of micelles of N-(monohydrofullerenyl)-L-alanine and their
associates were studied by tunneling scanning microscopy in the regime
of a profilometer with a 10-nm resolution along the vertical line. Th
e data obtained show that the micelles of the compound studied are ani
sodiametric particles 0.5-10 mu m in size containing negligible amount
s of water. The thickness of the micelles depends on their lengths.
