Vb. Nazarov et al., NATURE OF THE ROOM-TEMPERATURE PHOSPHORESCENCE OF CYCLODEXTRIN-AROMATIC COMPOUND COMPLEXES IN WATER, Russian chemical bulletin, 45(4), 1996, pp. 969-970
The lifetime of the room-temperature phosphorescence (RTP) of beta-cyc
lodextrin-phenanthrene-chloroform complexes in water at 274 K increase
s from 1.7 to 2.3 s as the concentration of chloroform increases from
2.5 . 10(-3) to 0.125 moi L(-1). This dependence is explained by the f
ormation of insoluble aggregates possessing RTP.
