Abstract
A study has been made of the formation of grain boundary character dis tributions (GBCDs) in dynamically and statically recrystallized AISI t ype 304 stainless steel. The influence of the type of recrystallizatio n on the multiple twinning process determining GBCD in 304 stainless s teel and the role of GBCD in the deformation behaviour of this steel a t room and high temperatures are investigated and discussed.
