Memory modules are the driving force behind market and technology grow th in the IC area. But as structures have become smaller development a nd manufacturing costs have become astronomical. The result has been t hat former competitors, such as Siemens, IBM, Toshiba and Motorola hav e entered into highly productive collaborative ventures.
