G. Singh et al., END-TO-END ANASTOMOSIS AT THE DUODENOJEJUNAL FLEXURE - IS IT SAFE, Australian and New Zealand journal of surgery, 65(12), 1995, pp. 884-886
Resection of the proximal jejunum in the duodenojejunal junction area
is described in four patients, in diverse clinical settings. The conve
ntional approach would have been to perform a gastrojejunostomy becaus
e of the possibility of ischaemia at and around the duodenojejunal fle
xure. A uniform surgical approach was followed for mobilization, resec
tion and end-to-end duodenojejunal anastomosis and the outcome was suc
cessful in all cases.
