Abstract
beta-Cyclodextrin is coupled to polyurethane using 2,4-toluene diisocy anate (TDI) as coupling agent. The synthesis involves the reaction bet ween one of the primary hydroxyl group of beta-cyclcodextrin with the isocyanate group of TDI and the subsequent grafting of the resultant p roduct to polyurethane. The mechanical thermal and surface features of the new copolymer are also discussed.
