Abstract
The Ising model is considered which takes into account the energy barr ier U-0 between states. The limit U-0 --> infinity is shown to lead to ordinary Ising model. The conditions are found when this model is the equivalent to the ternary Potts model with effective value of relativ e multiplicity of states degeneration. The field of the model applicab ility has been defined.
