The influence of adhesive bond defects in multilayer structures on the
spectra of acoustic pulses excited in them during inspection by the f
ree-vibration and impedance methods is investigated. A notebook person
al computer is used for spectral analysis and data processing. It is s
hown that spectral processing enhances the sensitivity and reliability
of inspection. The AD-64M computerized flaw detector has been develop
ed on the basis of the reported investigations.
