This study deals with the production of hydroxyapatite by a mechanoche
mical method, especially following the transformations that are involv
ed during their annealing when the physico-mechanical conditions of sy
nthesis are more or less strong. In particular the higher the reacheab
le crushing pressure during synthesis: the lower the presence of spuri
ous phosphates during sintering. The main structure-related parameters
were evaluated as a function of annealing temperature, and possible i
nterpretations given thoroughly.
