Abstract
Cryptosporidium was found on the conjunctiva of 6 SIV-infected immunod eficient rhesus monkeys. Some affected membranes were inflamed. The co njunctiva is a newly recognized site for disseminated Cryptosporidium infection in spontaneously infected immunodeficient mammals, and clini cians and investigators should be aware of its possible presence in im munodeficient patients with disseminated cryptosporidiosis.
