Abstract
The isoscalar response of the surface of a Fermi-liquid drop of multip ole orders L = 0, 2, and 3 is considered in the semiclassical approxim ation based on the Vlasov kinetic equation. At L = 2 and 3, the distri bution of oscillation strengths is found in the regions of giant nucle ar resonances and low-lying collective states. At L = 3, this distribu tion is also obtained in the region of a low-frequency octupole nuclea r resonance.
