Abstract
The quasielastic scattering of 40-MeV/nucleon B-8 and Be-7 nuclei by C -12, of 29-MeV/nucleon Li-11 nuclei by Si-28, and of 60-MeV/nucleon C- 11 and Li-11 isobars by C-12 is analyzed in a microscopic approach. Op tical potentials are constructed in the folding model by using the tot al M3Y effective nucleon-nucleon interaction and nucleon densities cal culated by the density-functional method with the same set of paramete rs for all colliding nuclei. A plausible description of the angular di stributions and of the total reaction cross sections for all the above systems was obtained without renormalizing the real part of the poten tial. Our microscopic analysis sg confirms that Li-11 has a neutron ha lo and that B-8 and Be-7 have proton skins.
