Vv. Belaga et al., STUDY OF PAIR CORRELATIONS BETWEEN ALPHA-PARTICLES ORIGINATING FROM THE FRAGMENTATION OF RELATIVISTIC NUCLEI, Physics of atomic nuclei, 59(7), 1996, pp. 1198-1200
Structures are discovered in relative-angle and effective-mass distrib
utions of pairs of relativistic a particles originating from inelastic
interactions of C-12, N-14, Ne-22, Mg-24, Si-28, and Fe-56 in nuclear
photoemulsion at po 2.5-4.5 GeV/c per nucleon. The fraction of a part
icles produced in Be-8 decay among all doubly charged spectator fragme
nts of relativistic projectile nuclei is estimated, and the mass-numbe
r dependence of this fraction is studied.
