Results of an experimental investigation of acoustic characteristics o
f a column of viscous liquid in a pipe with an elastic end cover (gaug
e chamber) are presented. Pipes of three diameters were tested in a wi
de frequency range. The amplitude-frequency and phase-frequency charac
teristics of a column of liquid in a pipe are obtained. A mathematical
model of the acoustic characteristics of the setup is proposed, A goo
d agreement is obtained between the calculations and test data.
