Abstract
The structure of a sound field diffracted by a plane opaque vertical s creen moving in a waveguide is investigated. The sound field radiated by a point omnidirectional monochromatic source is represented as a su m of modes. Propagation of one or two modes is considered. The problem is solved in the Kirchhoff approximation under conditions of single s cattering.
