Abstract
An analytical solution to the radiation transport equation, describing the behavior of the cross-correlation function of a field in a multim ode propagation environment, is constructed. The developed procedure i s based on the combined use of a quasi-classical approximation and the method of generating functions. This approach reduces the calculation of the correlation characteristics of the field in a refractive waveg uide to a similar problem in free space. The validity limits of the su ggested approach are formulated.
