Abstract
Conditionally stable amplifiers (0 < k < 1) can be an attractive desig n option for commercial applications where increased gain can be achie ved by accepting a measured risk of instability, A procedure is presen ted for designing amplifier input and output matching networks which p ermits an a-priori, quantitative trade-off between gain and the stabil ity parameter, mu (or mu') Analytical results have been derived suitab le for CAD implementation.
