Abstract
C23H18TeO, M(r) = 437.97, <P(1)over bar>, a = 9.940(2), b = 13.664(3), c = 7.895(2) Angstrom, alpha = 80.60(1), beta = 69.71(2), gamma = 75. 95(1)degrees, V = 972.0(4) Angstrom(3), Z = 2, R = 0.041 for 2668 obse rved reflections. The Te-C bond distances are 2.109(5) Angstrom and th e C-Te-C angle is 96.0(2)degrees. The phenyl rings are planar to withi n experimental accuracy, making dihedral angles of 64.6(2), 65.3(2) an d 31.1(3)degrees.
