Abstract
Reaction between vinylmagnesium bromide and the cage dione leads to at tack of only one equivalent of Grignard and intramolecular nucleophili c attack on the second ketone. The product compound crystallizes in th e monoclinic space group, P2(1)/a, with a = 9.509(1), b = 11.071(2), c = 12.492(4) Angstrom, beta = 104.32(2)degrees, and Z = 4.
