Autotrophic Thiobacillus sp. CH11 and heterotrophic Pseudomonas putida
CH11 were isolated from piggery waste water. Extensive tests, includi
ng removal action, removal efficiency, removal capacity, and adaptabil
ity to perturbed conditions were conducted on autotrophic and heterotr
ophic biofilters. The results clearly demonstrate the application pote
ntial of autotrophic and heterotrophic biofilters for the continuous H
2S removal under different perturbed conditions.
