Abstract
In this article we develop a new morphological image processor. In thi s processor, the input image and interconnection configuration are inv ariant, and feedback is not necessary. This processor can implement va rious structuring element morphological image process functions. It ca n be implemented by a compact optical weighted interconnection module and the table-lookup threshold technique. Experimental results are als o given. (C) 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
