A numerical procedure is derived for the analysis of electronagnetic f
ield penetration through apertures of arbitrary shape in perfectly con
ducting infinite planar screens of negligible thickness. The technique
proposed allows one to analyze general configurations in which the ap
erture is located in the neighborhood of wire structures. These may be
positioned either on one side of the screen or on both sides, and in
the presence of conducting wires penetrating the aperture. (C) 1996 Jo
