Abstract
An advancing reaction front model has been developed with the help of a modified geometric configuration of the liquid membrane system in ca se of facilitated transport. Sauter mean diameter is used as the chara cteristic diameter of the W/O emulsion drop in the model. Analytical s olution of the model equations has been presented. While developing th e physical model, effort has been made to highlight the effects of dif ferent parameters on the separation characteristics of Type-1 facilita ted transport through the membrane.
